Pathjoins 1–2

Path 11 is the first connecting pathway on the Tree of Life, designated as the link between Kether (the Crown, Sephirah 1) and Chokmah (Wisdom, Sephirah 2). Its name, "Pathjoins 1–2," is a functional label indicating its role as the initial bridge between the highest, most abstract sephiroth. This path is not a separate entity but a dynamic relationship—the direct channel through which the undifferentiated will of Kether first polarizes into the active, masculine principle of Chokmah. In the Hebrew alphabet, this path is assigned to the letter Aleph, the Ox, symbolizing the primal, unifying breath of creation. Its translation as "ox" or "thousand" hints at latent power and the infinite potential that flows along this route. Unlike later paths that carry complex astrological or planetary attributions, Path 11 is a pure, unmediated transmission of force, representing the first movement from unity into duality. In the context of Liber 777, this path appears in the Tree of Life row as a simple coordinate, a point of connection rather than a symbol with its own distinct mythology. Its historical significance lies in its position as the archetypal link between the first two sephiroth, a concept found in early Kabbalistic texts where the "beginning of wisdom" emerges from the "hidden head." The path is a silent, foundational current, the essential conduit for all subsequent emanation. In the table, it is listed as step 11, a numeric marker that underscores its role as the first of the 22 paths, a threshold between the supernal and the manifest.
