Necheshiron thus represents the 'Serpentine' distortion of the stabilizing, supportive force of the Kerubim—the shell that turns the cosmic pillar into a writhing coil of chaos.

In later Qabalistic and Thelemic writings, Necheshiron is sometimes associated with the 'Serpent of the Path' that must be overcome or integrated in the initiatory journey, particularly in the context of the arrow's flight from the bow of the aspirant. Its number, 25, also connects to the 25th Path of the Sepher Yetzirah, which is the 'Intelligence of Probation' or 'Tentative Intelligence'—the faculty that tests and proves all things.
